RiverRidge Limited is seeking a Process Plant Operator to manage processing operations within our waste plant, monitor equipment, respond to faults and conduct quality control of on-site materials.

The role involves shift patterns: Monday-Friday with additional Saturday cover, 6am-3pm or 2pm-11pm on rotation, with duties including preventative maintenance, reporting to Management and maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.

Formación

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Be IT literate.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Reliable and flexible to weekend/bank holiday hours.
• Hold a valid licence to operate telescopic forklift, counterbalance forklift, or loading shovel.
• Willingness to work shifts to meet business needs.

We are currently looking to appoint a Process Plant Operator who will be responsible for processing operations within our waste plant. Duties will also include first line operations support within the plant, monitoring of plant equipment and responding accordingly to any faults and Quality Control of on-site materials. Shift pattern Monday-Friday (with additional Saturday cover) 6am-3pm or 2pm – 11pm on rotation

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Prioritise tasks to ensure maximum plant utilisation.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in good condition and stored correctly.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on plant equipment as required in a timely manner.
• Liaise closely with other shifts and Manager to ensure all outstanding issues are addressed
• In all cases work closely with the Manager to report on progress and highlight potential issues.
• Ensure all work undertaken is done so in accordance with the company policy and in a safe manner, in line with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Loading and unloading of material, as and when required
• Operating various machines on site to include mobile machinery such as forklifts and Loading Shovels.
• Responsibility to ensure departmental housekeeping is of a high standard
• Monitoring computerised plant controls and responding accordingly to faults
• Quality Control, as required, to ensure effective process control and measurement.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by Management
• Contribute to the decision‑making process regarding level of spares / equipment.

• Must be willing to workshift patterns to include weekends, Bank Holidays and additional hours to meet needs ofbusiness
• Previous Experience working in a similar industry.
• Hold a valid licence for operating any of the following machines: Telescopic Forklift, Counterbalance Forklift or Loading shovel
