Job summary

NRL in Stoke is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join a highly skilled team on a six-month contract starting as soon as possible. Based in Stoke, the role runs Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.

You will operate plant machinery, monitor performance, carry out routine inspections, perform basic maintenance and record data accurately while supporting start-up, shutdown and outage activities with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds NVQ or equivalent in mechanical discipline.
• Knowledge of plant operations and industrial processes.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Effective troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail with accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant machinery safely and per procedures.
• Monitor process performance, gauges and instrumentation.
• Carry out routine equipment inspections and identify faults.
• Record operational and maintenance data accurately.
• Load and unload materials and assist start-up/shutdown procedures.
• Support maintenance teams during outages and repairs.
• Follow permit-to-work and site procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and collaborate with teams.
