Job summary

NRL Group in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join a highly skilled engineering team on a six-month contract, with start as soon as possible. Based in Aberdeen, you will work Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, performing safe plant operations, routine inspections, data recording and collaborative maintenance support.

The role requires City & Guilds in mechanical discipline or NVQ, a solid understanding of plant operations and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds qualification in mechanical discipline or NVQ.
• Knowledge of plant operations and industrial processes.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Accurate record keeping and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant machinery safely in line with procedures.
• Monitor process performance and instrumentation.
• Carry out routine equipment inspections.
• Record operational and maintenance data accurately.
• Support start-up, shutdown and emergency procedures.
• Load and unload materials; assist maintenance during outages.
• Follow permit-to-work systems and site procedures.
• Work with operations, engineering and maintenance teams.
