Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking a permanent Machine Operator in Aberdeen to operate and monitor production machinery, ensuring safety and quality at all times. You will follow defined procedures, complete records and support changeovers as needed.

The role requires prior machine operating experience in a manufacturing or food environment, strong attention to detail, and good teamwork within a fast-paced setting. No weekend work and a commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing or food environment.
• Ability to spot basic faults and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor food production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
• Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
• Monitor product quality and report any issues promptly.
• Complete production records accurately.
• Follow food safety, quality, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation procedures on equipment and work areas.
• Assist with changeovers and machine adjustments when required.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth production operations.
