Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in Northampton is seeking a hands-on Waste Operative to join our frontline team. You will move and load waste, check vehicles, and liaise with colleagues on a two-way radio to keep operations safe and efficient.

Experience in an operational environment is preferred, with loading shovel tickets and 360 & grab licenses desirable. We offer generous leave, a pension, wellbeing support, and ongoing training as part of our commitment to your development.

Responsibilities

• Move and load waste
• Report contamination and non-compliant waste batteries
• Report all service, safety and environmental concerns
• Work as a team
• Stay in contact with the team on 2 way radio
• Look out for each other and our customers
• Check all vehicles before using them, report defects
• Stop the job if it's unsafe, report to line manager
• Stay alert for fires, report smoke, smouldering and flames
