Position Purpose:

To assist in the day-to-day operation of the plant for the receipt, treatment, and disposal of clinical waste, aiming for maximum plant availability and productivity in accordance with company operational procedures and legislative obligations.

Key Job Activities:

1. Unloading vehicles and trailers (site specific).
2. Manoeuvring waste on the plant and weighing containers effectively.
3. Ensuring waste containers are emptied, cleaned, and stored properly for collection.
4. Coordinating paperwork and reception of all deliveries, including suppliers and contractors.
5. Overseeing safe handling of loose waste into containers during deliveries.
6. Operating forklift truck if required.
7. Participating in plant shutdowns as necessary.
8. Maintaining operational records and data specific to the job.
9. Reporting major defects or concerns to management.
10. Assisting the Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager during breakdowns or stoppages.
11. Observing safety notices and ensuring safe work practices at all times.
12. Attending relevant training courses.
13. Performing additional duties to ensure safety and operational continuity.
14. Complying with health & safety procedures.

Education & Experience:

Self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player. Able to work effectively under pressure and flexible with hours, including shifts. Good health record, punctual, and able to work independently.
