Position Purpose

Assist in the daily operation of the plant for receipt, treatment, and disposal of clinical waste, ensuring maximum plant availability and productivity in compliance with operational procedures and legislative requirements.

Key Job Activities

1. Unload vehicles and trailers (site-specific).
2. Manoeuvre waste on the plant and weigh containers effectively.
3. Ensure waste containers are emptied, cleaned, and stored properly for collection.
4. Coordinate paperwork and reception of all deliveries, including those from suppliers and contractors.
5. Oversee safe handling of loose waste into containers during deliveries.
6. Operate forklift truck if required.
7. Participate in plant shutdowns as necessary.
8. Maintain operational records and data related to the job.
9. Report major defects or concerns to management.
10. Assist the Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager during breakdowns or controlled stoppages.
11. Observe safety notices and ensure safe work practices at all times.
12. Attend job-specific training as required.
13. Perform additional duties to ensure safe and compliant plant operations.
14. Follow health & safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Self-motivated, reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player. Able to work under pressure, with good health, punctual, flexible regarding hours including shifts, and able to work independently.
