Job summary

Allelys Group is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service and repair a range of plant and lifting equipment at Studley. You will ensure equipment safety, compliance with LOLER/PUWER, and optimal availability for operations.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent) and NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operations, with experience in heavy plant, cranes, or lifting gear, plus a valid UK driving licence. Expect a safety-focused, proactive team player environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance/Engineering or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operations for servicing forklift trucks.
• Experience maintaining heavy plant, cranes or lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of LOLER/PUWER requirements.
• Hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, servicing and inspection of plant and lifting equipment, including cranes, gantries and modular trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on plant equipment.
• Prepare equipment for statutory inspections (e.g. LOLER) and support third-party examinations.
• Complete accurate maintenance and inspection records.
• Attend site to carry out repairs or breakdown support as required.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Maintain a safe, organised workshop and manage parts/consumables stock.
