Job summary

KC Group in Solihull is seeking a highly organised Plant Coordinator to support the smooth running of the Plant Department. You will coordinate maintenance, repairs and servicing for plant, vehicles and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and strong record keeping.

The role is office-based in Shirley/Solihull with regular contact across operations, suppliers and internal teams. You will manage competing priorities, plan workloads for fitters, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant, fleet, engineering or parts coordination.
• Knowledge of plant, machinery, maintenance or fleet operations.
• Strong organisational, communication and IT skills.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Proactive, reliable and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate breakdowns, repairs, servicing and planned maintenance.
• Support the planning of fitter and fabricator workloads.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Monitor outstanding work to minimise equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate asset, maintenance and inspection records.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, testing and certification.
• Assist with quotations, purchase orders, invoices and warranty claims.
• Support plant availability for site operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
