Job summary

Linsco is supporting a client in Solihull to recruit a Service Co-ordinator. You will coordinate daily maintenance, servicing and repairs of plant, vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely completion and accurate records.

The role suits an organised, proactive person with strong admin and coordination skills. Working with the Service Controller and Plant team, you will manage workloads, monitor repairs, and liaise with suppliers to keep downtime to a minimum.

Qualifications

• Administrative, coordination or operational experience.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Understanding of plant, machinery, maintenance or repair processes would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and record plant, vehicle and equipment breakdowns, repairs, servicing and maintenance requests.
• Assist with planning fitter and fabricator workloads, balancing scheduled maintenance with urgent requirements.
• Monitor outstanding repairs and follow up with relevant teams to minimise equipment downtime.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors to arrange repairs, inspections, servicing and parts.
• Assist with quotations, purchase orders, invoices and warranty claims.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, testing and certification, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
• Maintain asset registers, maintenance histories, job sheets and relevant compliance documentation.
• Support the availability of plant and equipment for site operations.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve departmental processes.
