Job summary

Ingevity seeks an experienced Operations leader to drive 24/7 plant performance across two sites in the UK. You will lead polymer and monomer plant operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production in line with schedules and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include developing the operating team, delivering continuous improvement, and championing SHEQ, quality, and delivery excellence across the site. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 24/7 chemical plant operations background.
• HND/Degree in Engineering or related subject.
• Experience managing technical, multi-shift teams.
• SHE leadership and relevant legislation/standards knowledge.
• Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, GMP).
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Independent, autonomous working style.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience handling high-hazard materials (H2O2, peracetic acid).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site continuous production teams spanning 2 locations.
• Oversee Polymer Plant operations.
• Oversee Monomer Plant operations including Boiler Plant.
• Direct management and leadership across SHEQ, quality, delivery and people.
