Job summary

Pelsis Group is seeking a Plant Operations Manager to lead our Nottingham site, delivering safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations across manufacturing, engineering, warehousing, and quality.

You will drive lean improvements, develop the leadership team and ensure products reach customers on time, in full and to the required standards, while aligning with Health & Safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Significant operational leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing manufacturing, engineering and warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems.
• Track record of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing operational budgets, improving productivity and controlling costs.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead teams through change and sustain improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations and deliver production plans across manufacturing, engineering and warehouse.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity targets using KPIs.
• Improve equipment reliability and maximize uptime and OEE.
• Champion safety and quality, ensure compliance with policies and regs.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial and Portfolio to meet demand.
• Lead Lean and CI initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Support capital investment, automation and digital manufacturing projects.
• Develop the site leadership team and succession plans.
• Oversee operational budgets and inventory costs.
