Job summary

Wychem, an Ascensus Specialties Company, seeks a high-impact Plant Lead to join the Stradishall site near Cambridge. You will report to the Site Director and anchor production, quality control, EHS, and site management processes.

Lead daily operations, supervise plant activities, drive continuous improvement and ensure strict safety, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance in a high‑standard chemical environment.

Qualifications

• HNC in Chemistry or 3–5 years in chemical/industrial manufacturing.
• Strong grasp of chemical processes, plant SOPs, equipment, and safe working protocols in hazardous/explosive atmospheres (ATEX/DSEAR).
• Fluent written/spoken English and proficiency in MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Daily Plant Operations to meet production schedules and priorities.
• Monitor process parameters and equipment performance to ensure quality and output.
• Safely operate process equipment and batch production systems as needed.
• Lead continuous improvement and Right First Time operational culture.
