Job summary

Ingevity in Warrington is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead two active manufacturing assets, Monomer and Polymer, 24/7 operations. You will drive SHEQ, safety, quality improvements, and optimize production performance while developing the operating teams.

You will deputise the Site Operations Manager, manage plant improvements, oversee production planning, and ensure delivery at optimal cost. A strong engineering background and proven leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams in a 24/7 chemical plant.
• HND or degree in Engineering or related subject.
• SHE leadership and knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and GMP quality systems.
• Experience handling hazardous materials such as Hydrogen Peroxide or Peracetic Acid.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site continuous production teams across two locations.
• Drive SHEQ improvements and safety standards.
• Develop and coach operating teams; performance management.
• Plan and execute production schedules and plant improvements.
• Deputise for the Site Operations Manager.
• Authorise procurement within budget.
