Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a pro active on-site technical role in the Liverpool area to build, deploy and support MES applications and integrations on the plant floor. You will act as the local link to the global technical team, ensuring smooth operation for daily manufacturing activities.

Ideal candidates have IT/technical support experience, OT/IT knowledge, and a strong customer-first mindset. The role requires full-time on-site presence, Monday to Friday, within a regulated manufacturing setting.

12-month contract (Inside IR35) | Extension and contract-to-hire highly likely | Start: January 2027 | On site: 5 days a week

A global manufacturer is deploying a new MES platform at a regulated site in the Liverpool area, and this is the on-site role that keeps it running. You’ll build and support applications on the plant floor and act as the site’s link to the global technical team.

What you’ll do:

• Build, deploy and support new MES applications and integrations, including day-to-day platform support (development, security and operations)
• Be the local point of contact between the site and the global technical team
• Work with operations and quality teams to prototype, test and release changes in a regulated environment

What we’re looking for:

• IT or technical support experience, with a solid understanding of OT, IT, infrastructure, software, data and cloud
• A customer-first mindset and the ability to learn fast
• Full-time presence on site, Monday to Friday

Nice to have:

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharma ideal)
• Exposure to MES platforms (Tulip, PAS-X, Syncade or similar)
• Integration experience with SAP, AVEVA PI or Databricks
• Not the right fit for: ERP functional consultants, service-desk-only roles, or senior strategy and leadership profiles
