Job summary

Modis International Ltd is seeking a MES Manager (Production IT) to lead a team of Production IT Engineers near Derby, on-site five days per week. The role focuses on managing priorities, coordinating incidents and delivering reliable MES and shopfloor integrations.

The ideal candidate has Production IT/MES experience, prior team leadership, and strong stakeholder communication. Competitive salary up to £65,000 plus pension, healthcare and holiday benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production IT, Manufacturing IT, MES or similar industrial tech environment.
• Previous team leadership or line management experience.
• Good understanding of production systems, shopfloor apps and systems integration.
• Experience managing workloads, incidents and escalations.
• Ability to coach and empower technical team members.
• Strong communication skills to raise concerns when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Production IT Engineers team and manage priorities and workloads.
• Coordinate incident resolution and ensure stable production systems.
• Explain technical issues in plain English to stakeholders and make decisions within parameters.
• Balance work across Production, Engineering, Quality, MES and central IT.
