Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic education in numeracy and literacy.
• Certified machinery/plant use qualifications (Lantra, NPTC, SVQ1, CSCS, CPCS or NPORS) or obtained promptly.
• A current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient service delivery to predefined schedules.
• Deliver specialist tasks in plant nursery, high amenity maintenance, bedding design and installation.
• Engage with the public politely and report issues.
• Ensure work complies with risk assessments and safety guidelines.
• Operate machinery per manufacturer guidelines and report defects.
• Collaborate with team to meet plans and quality standards.
• Complete standard reports for service planning and delivery.
• Address operational problems locally and escalate complex issues to supervisor.
• Support service delivery across the allocated area or elsewhere as needed.
• Be ready for emergency and winter maintenance duties as required.
• Possess capability to deputise for Chargehand when appropriate.
