Plant Fitter - Portadown

We are recruiting a Plant Fitter/ Service Engineer with our client who are a leading supplier of plant machinery and equipment across Ireland, distributing a range of top machinery brands.

Ideally candidates will have experience on heavy plant machinery such as excavators, dumpers, forklifts but we will also consider strong mechanical candidates from Agri, HGV or Marine backgrounds

The Role

• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs on plant machinery at various customer sites
• Machine inspections and repairs to manufacture standards
• Maintenance of construction plant, industrial engines and marine
• Test new machinery and carry out PDI inspections
• Ordering parts required and communicating with manager on work progress
• Complete paperwork accurately, hard copy or electronic device
• Right first time repairs and diagnose faults efficiently
• Professional approach working with customers

What we are looking for

• Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Plant, Agri or HGV
• Proven mechanical experience working on plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics
• Excellent knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics and fault finding
• Diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Full driving license
