Job summary

HARMAN Lifestyle is seeking a Manager - Financial Controlling to support the Shirakawa manufacturing site in Japan, acting as the financial partner to the Plant Manager. The role emphasizes cost control, budgeting, and capital planning within a globally integrated controls framework.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of 5 and partner with engineering, procurement, and operations to optimize profitability and cost efficiency across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance and hands-on plant-controlling experience.
• Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and budgeting processes.
• Proven ability to manage cost out and drive financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Create and distribute weekly/monthly spending reports by department.
• Review production variances and drive root-cause analyses.
• Track labor productivity and material variances with plant leadership.
• Perform make-vs.-buy analyses and support internal contracting decisions.
• Manage inventory, fixed assets, and working capital with cross-functional teams.
