Job description

Plant & Facility Maintenance Manager

Optical Filters is a leader in the design and manufacture of display screen products, including EMI-shielded windows, optical laminating, display filters, and other specialist glass and polycarbonate screens.

The successful candidate will be looking for an immediate start, initially on a fixed-term contract with the possibility of a full-time role for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Ensure PPM is carried out according to the PPM schedule and maintain records.
• Repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Manage subcontract R&M contractors, ensuring regular servicing of systems such as gas, compressed air, and air conditioning is carried out on schedule.
• Project management of:
• Upgrades/modifications to existing equipment.
• Installation of new equipment.
• Testing and commissioning of the above.

The Candidate:

• Significant experience in Plant & Facility Management with a focus on preventative maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with production teams and external suppliers.
• Strong electrical skills to maintain building electrical systems.
• High-level electro-mechanical skills to troubleshoot control issues with CNC and other PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to maintain plant service records and produce clear management reports.
• Motivation to minimize process downtime.
• Calm under pressure with good problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
