Speedy Hire Plc is seeking a Plant Engineer to take responsibility for inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of plant hire equipment in the region. The role supports a work/life balance with flexible start/finish times and opportunities for hybrid work where possible.

Based in Whitehaven, the engineer will work with depot engineers, drivers and the hire desk to prioritise repairs. The position offers 26 days holiday, life assurance, pension and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to test and repair plant equipment to a high standard.
• Flexible approach to working hours as part of the role.
• Technical/engineering background is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain and repair plant hire equipment in the region.
• Work with depot engineers, drivers and hire desk to prioritise repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies with Speedy safety standards.
