Job summary

Lloyd Ltd Carlisle is seeking a Plant Engineer to join our busy team at Kingstown Industrial Estate, Carlisle. The role involves servicing and repairing plant and construction machinery, both in our workshop and on customer sites, with a focus on high-quality diagnostics and customer service.

The successful candidate will have an engineering apprenticeship or certified qualifications, experience in the sector, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or holds certified qualifications in servicing and repair of machinery.
• Experience in plant/construction machinery sector preferred.
• Ability to work in both workshop and field locations and manage deadlines.

Are you a skilled and motivated engineer with experience working on plant and construction machinery? Whether you’re already working in the sector or hold certified qualifications in the servicing and repair of plant/construction machinery, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for a Plant Engineer to join our busy and growing team at Lloyd Ltd Carlisle.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of plant/construction machinery.
• Working both in our workshop and out in the field to support customer needs.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to the highest standards.
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Completing all relevant administration including warranty paperwork and job cards.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship and/or holds certified qualifications in the servicing and repair of machinery.
• Has previous experience in the plant/construction machinery sector.
• Is a proactive team player who can also work independently.
• Can handle pressure and manage deadlines.
• Is IT literate and comfortable using internal systems.
• Has strong communication skills and a professional approach.

Location: Based at Lloyd Ltd Carlisle (Kingstown Industrial Estate, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA3 0EF).

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with additional overtime available.
