Job description

Smart Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor to support a major plant conversion project across Argyll & Bute.

Role Overview:

You’ll be working across three sites (Oban, Lochgilphead, Dunoon), supporting the removal of mechanical composting equipment and the installation of new waste bay infrastructure. The role is key to ensuring safe and compliant site operations under CDM 2015 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• On-site supervision of contractors and activities

• Ensure adherence to health & safety and CDM standards

• Review and approve RAMS

• Coordinate daily site works and manage CDM interface zones

• Issue and manage Permits to Work (including LOTO and Hot Works)

• Monitor progress and escalate issues where needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in construction, waste, or industrial projects

• Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015

• Confident in issuing permits and managing safe systems of work

• Able to travel between multiple sites

• Available for a July start
