Job summary

J Murphy & Sons in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a proactive Service Engineer to carry out scheduled inspections, servicing and repairs on our machinery and plant fleet. You will diagnose faults and perform repairs, contributing to a safe, efficient workshop and site operations.

A full UK driving licence and CSCS are essential, with Murphy training provided. NVQ3 or equivalent and prior experience in a similar role are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled service inspections, servicing and repairs in accordance with manufacturers specifications.
• Perform regular servicing on machinery, plant and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair of complex faults in machinery, plant and equipment.
• Carry out repairs to machinery, plant and equipment and their components.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment.
• Record information digitally, including photographs on Syrinx App.
• Comply with the Company’s Environmental and Health and Safety Procedures.

What your day will look like:

• - Carry out scheduled Service Inspections, servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers specifications.

What we need from you:

• - Knowledge that would be acquired through education to NVQ3 equivalent.
• - CSCS
• - Preferably experience in similar role
• - Full UK driving licence (Essential)
• - Commitment to carry out in house Murphy training requirements
