Job summary

Murphy is looking for an experienced maintenance technician to service and repair a range of plant equipment, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, lighting towers, tractors, and generators, at our UK workshop.

You will conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and contribute to a safe, efficient workshop while adhering to manufacturer specifications and recording information digitally. A UK driving licence and willingness to complete Murphy training are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge that you have acquired through experience.
• Education to NVQ2 or 3 equivalent - Desirable not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Commitment to carry out in house Murphy training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant items to a high standard in line with manufacturers specifications.
• Conduct periodic inspections, servicing and maintenance and record information digitally.
• Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair of faults.
• Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop.

Skills

What your day will look like:

Maintain and repair to a high standard various items of plant including but not limited to:

• Excavators from 1.5t to 36t
• Dumpers from 2t to 30T
• Rollers from trench to 13T
• Lighting towers
• Tractors
• Smaller items such as towable compressors and pressure washers
• Generators from 20Kva to 100Kva
• Towable and Static welfare unit’s and much more

You will be expected to:

• Conduct periodic inspections, servicing and maintenance to a high standard in line with manufacturers specifications and recording information digitally including photographic evidence.
• Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair of faults.
• Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop.

What we need from you:

• Knowledge that you have acquired through experience
• Education to NVQ2 or 3 equivalent - Desirable not essential.
• Full UK driving licence
• Commitment to carry out in house Murphy training requirements
