Job summary

Rocket Staffing are recruiting an experienced Plant & Agg Fitter to join a busy Bracknell team. You will repair, service and maintain HGV equipment and other plant, ensuring adherence to health & safety policies and accurate documentation of work.

The role involves interpreting drawings, planning tasks, and performing repairs with a proactive attitude to safety and quality. A valid IRTEC cert is essential; NVQ is preferred but not required. 40 hours weekly, £40k p.a. plus overtime.

Qualifications

• HGV knowledge and accessories experience required.
• IRTEC certification essential; NVQ preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and service HGV equipment and other plant as required.
• Compliance with Health and Safety policies.
• Carry out routine servicing and MOT preparation.
• Perform repairs cost-effectively and document work.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
• Inspect equipment and report damages/defects.
• Interpret drawings/specifications and plan activity; refurbish components.
• Support HSEQ compliance and stay updated on safety procedures.

Role: Plant & Agg Fitter

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire

Rate : £19 per hour (Basic)

Salary per Annum: £40,000 p.a

Overtime: £19 per hour

Shift Timings: 7:30am to 4:30pm

Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Job

• Repair, maintain and service all HGV equipment along with other plant as required
• Ensure you work in compliance with Health and Safety policies
• Carry out routine, servicing and MOT preparation
• Carry out all repairs in a cost-effective manner
• Completion of all documentation as required and ensure accurate records are kept
• Record and report damagers and defects
• Ensure inspections are carried out in specified time periods General Company
• Work involves interpreting drawings or specifications, planning work activity, producing individual components, and re‑furbishing components.
• Personal and team adherence to existing working practices, methods and procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternative systems
• Proactive approach to Health Safety and Environment and to co‑operate with the Company's HSEQ Manager with relevant Health, Safety and Environment legislation, policies, and processes.

Requirments:

• Good knowledge and experience of HGV's and associated accessories
• NVQ qualified preferred but not essential
• IRTEC certification essential
• Deep understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and the ability to use a range of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of Safe Loading Working Devices
• HGV licence preferred but bot essential
• Able to service, diagnose and repair various types of specialist equipment
