Job summary

ITS Building People in Farnham, Surrey, is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to service, maintain and repair construction plant and machinery.

You will work on diggers, dumpers, excavators and telehandlers, ensuring safe and operational equipment. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, fault-finding skills, and the ability to travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter or Mobile Plant Fitter.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
• Experience on diggers, dumpers, excavators and telehandlers.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction plant and machinery.
• Working on diggers, dumpers, excavators and telehandlers.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Ensuring machinery is maintained to a safe and operational standard.
• Travelling to sites as required to carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Completing relevant maintenance records and reporting any issues.

The Role & About the Client

ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter on behalf of a well-established plant and construction business based in Farnham, Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy team working on a range of construction plant and machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs to ensure machinery remains safe and operational.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction plant and machinery.
• Working on diggers, dumpers, excavators and telehandlers.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Ensuring machinery is maintained to a safe and operational standard.
• Travelling to sites as required to carry out repairs and maintenance.
• Completing relevant maintenance records and reporting any issues.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working as a Plant Fitter or Mobile Plant Fitter.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on diggers, dumpers, excavators and telehandlers.
• Relevant plant or mechanical qualifications would be desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
