Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI is recruiting for a Fleet Administrator/Co-ordinator based in Birmingham to support the Commercial Fleet operations within the Central Region. You will monitor the Fleet inbox, manage fuel reporting, and ensure fleet systems are current and compliant while assisting with fleet safety campaigns.

Ideal candidates will have experience with commercial fleets, be proficient in fleet management software, and demonstrate calm decision-making under pressure.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with commercial fleets.
• Proficient in using fleet management software and other relevant tools.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make prompt decisions.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to liaise and influence effectively at all levels of staff and labour, joint-venture parties, suppliers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Fleet inbox and answer all vehicle related queries.
• Monthly fuel report distribution and spot checking to ensure legitimate transactions.
• Cross-reference fuel report to Sub Lot Transactions, ensuring proper allocation.
• Ensure drivers have a Permit to Drive, monitor leavers and update Sub Lot allocation.
• Monitor telematics data and highlight potential non-authorised behaviour.
• Support in investigations with the BBV Data Protection and Compliance Team.
• Report all near miss events via the Observations App.
• Ensure all fleet related systems are kept up to date & valid both promptly & accurately.
• Support the Senior Fleet Compliance Officer in preparing and delivering Fleet safety related campaigns.
• Manage the BBV Commercial Fleet, scheduling valets in line with Sub Lot off hires and reduce off hire costs.
• To undertake any other duties & deal with matters related to fleet disciplines which can be reasonably expected of this position.

HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Location

Based in Birmingham - the Central Region runs from the east of Birmingham into the city centre, comprising Sublot Delta, 1B, 4 and 5S. More than 50% of the structures within IPT Area North are located in the Central Region. This region, which covers a complex urban environment, also includes the 3.5 mile twin bore Bromford Tunnel. It also includes Interchange Station, as well as crossing three major highways (A45, M6 and M42).
