Job summary

GerrardWhite invites applications for a Planning Lawyer to join its property team with offices in Cambridge, Chelmsford or Bishop's Stortford. The role handles high-quality planning matters, including applications, appeals, enforcement and judicial reviews, and involves drafting planning documents.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years' PQE in planning and/or environmental law, offering clear, practical advice aligned with clients' commercial

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 5+ years' PQE in planning and/or environmental law.
• Strong commercial awareness and sound judgement to advise clients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Advise on planning matters, including applications, appeals, enforcement and judicial reviews.
• Draft and negotiate Section 106 agreements and other planning documents.
• Carry out legal research and prepare reports, briefings and advice notes.
• Support senior lawyers on complex planning and environmental cases with authorities and developers.
• Keep up to date with changes in planning legislation, policy and case law.

You will:

• Advise on planning matters, including applications, appeals, enforcement and judicial reviews
