Job summary

Gerrard White Consulting Limited is seeking a Planning Lawyer to join its property team with offices in Cambridge, Chelmsford or Bishop's Stortford. This permanent, full-time role involves handling high-quality planning matters for private and commercial clients.

You will advise on applications, appeals, enforcement and judicial reviews, draft Section 106 agreements, conduct research and support senior lawyers on complex planning and environmental cases, while staying current with planning law

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 5+ years' PQE in planning and/or environmental law.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to give clear, practical advice that fits clients' goals.

Responsibilities

• Advise on planning matters, including applications, appeals, enforcement and judicial reviews
• Draft and negotiate Section 106 agreements and other planning documents
• Carry out legal research and prepare reports, briefings and advice notes
• Support senior lawyers on complex planning and environmental cases, collaborating with authorities, developers and stakeholders
• Keep up to date with changes in planning legislation, policy and case law
