Overview

We are working with a highly respected law firm in Essex who are recruiting for a Planning Solicitor or experienced Paralegal to be part of their collaborative and close-knit department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about planning law to take on a diverse and challenging role within a supportive and progressive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate infrastructure agreements including s106, s38, s272, and s104
  • Provide practical, strategic advice on planning law matters
  • Prepare and submit applications for certificates of lawfulness
  • Represent clients in planning appeals and enforcement matters
  • Handle statutory challenges (s288) and judicial reviews
  • Act for both prosecuting and defending parties in enforcement cases
  • Build strong client relationships and act in their best interests
  • Support the team in developing new business and strengthening referrer networks
Qualifications
  • Experience in Planning Law, gained in either local government or private practice
  • Genuine interest in building a long-term career in this specialist area
  • Strong reputation for delivering clear, high-quality advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and confident in networking
