You will advise on planning and highways matters, including major developments and 106 obligations, while supporting senior officers and Members with practical, solution-focused guidance.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date and detailed knowledge of planning law and practice.
• Experience advising on planning and development matters including section 106 obligations.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist legal advice on planning issues, including planning committee work and major developments.
• Draft, negotiate and advise on section 106 planning obligations and unilateral undertakings.
• Advise senior officers and elected Members on planning matters, enforcement and appeals.
• Attend planning committees and represent the legal service in negotiations and decision-making.
