Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our PMCM team. You will develop and maintain robust programmes for major infrastructure projects, working with project managers, engineers and clients to enable on-time delivery.

The role offers exposure to rail, energy and utilities programmes, with opportunities for mentoring, accreditation support and clear career progression within a global consultancy. Hybrid working is available with office collaboration across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and scheduling within infrastructure, construction, Energy, or regional Rail environments.
• Developing programmes from first principles and analysing project schedules using industry-standard tools.
• Experience in integrated project teams supporting complex infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of project delivery lifecycles and project controls including EVM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting project data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule infrastructure projects, maintaining robust programmes.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and delivery partners to enable on-time delivery.
• Support programme reporting, change/risk management and NEC schedule assurance.
• Contribute to client communications and cross-disciplinary workshops.
• Provide mentoring and contribute to career development within PMCM.
