Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment is assisting a Gloucestershire Local Authority to recruit an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer for maternity cover. The role involves managing a caseload of enforcement investigations and preparing expediency reports for recommendations.

You will draft and progress enforcement notices, liaise with residents and stakeholders, and investigate breaches while working with minimal supervision. Six-month contract; ASAP start; rate flexible based on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to pick up a caseload and operate with minimal supervision.
• This is not a senior or management position.

I am working with a Local Authority in the Gloucestershire area who are seeking an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to provide maternity cover within their Planning Service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced enforcement practitioner to join a supportive team and make an immediate impact from day one.

The Role:

• Manage a caseload of planning enforcement investigations
• Prepare expediency reports and recommendations
• Draft and progress enforcement notices where appropriate
• Liaise with residents, councillors, applicants and other stakeholders
• Investigate alleged breaches of planning control and assess appropriate action
• Work independently whilst supporting the wider Planning Service

Contract Details:

• Duration: Initial 6-month contract (maternity cover)
• Rate: Flexible, dependent on experience
• Start Date: ASAP
