Job summary

National Gas is seeking a Planning & Controls Officer to coordinate planning and scheduling across maintenance, operations, and asset activities. You’ll help ensure safe, efficient delivery and maintain the availability of critical gas infrastructure.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence and occasional travel within the West region. Key responsibilities include translating long-term work plans into actionable schedules, balancing resources, and driving continuous improvement across

Qualifications

• Experience in work scheduling, planning, outage planning, or resource coordination.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of work scheduling principles and ability to work in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead work scheduling activities to support delivery of maintenance, defect, breakdown, and project work.
• Coordinate resources and workloads to maximise asset availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain achievable project delivery plans with Portfolio Planning and operations teams.
• Manage changes to plans, identify constraints, and perform replanning efficiently.
• Collaborate with Operations, Construction, and Asset Management to resolve planning conflicts.
• Ensure planning decisions are recorded, communicated, and justified with clear rationale.
• Drive continuous improvement and support post-work reviews to enhance planning.
