Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Planner for the Sizewell C project, based at Orwell Logistics Park with regular visits to the Sizewell C Main Construction Area.

Responsibilities include developing delivery schedules with the Senior Planner and delivery teams, tracking progress, mitigating slippage, and coordinating between the supply chain, PAA requirements, the CWA management team, and the PMO. Start date 02/11/2026; end date 10/09/2027; daily rate £550 PAYE; inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction is preferred.
• Hands-on scheduling tools experience (Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject).
• Proven planning experience in large, complex civil/infra construction environments.
• CSCS Card is required.

• Assist with regular programme updates and performance reporting during execution.
• Recommend corrective and mitigation measures for areas with forecast critical path slippage.

Contract Terms

• Daily Rate: 550 / day (PAYE)
• IR35 Status: Inside IR35
• Start Date: 02/11/2026
• End Date: 10/09/2027

Key Responsibilities

• Programme Development: Assist in developing delivery schedules by working closely with the Senior Planner, delivery teams, and supply chain to determine optimal construction methodology, sequences, timing, and resource allocation.
• Progress Tracking & Reporting: Assist with regular programme updates regarding performance during execution.
• Slippage Mitigation: Recommend corrective and mitigation measures for areas showing forecast critical path slippage.
• Interface & Integration: Act as a critical link between the supply chain, PAA programme requirements, the CWA management team, and the PMO.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Degree or HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Construction is preferred.
• Software Skills: Hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Industry Experience: Proven experience delivering planning services in large, complex civil engineering or infrastructure construction environments.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil construction methods, plant, equipment, and labor requirements.
• Certification: Valid CSCS Card.
