Job summary

Carmichael UK is recruiting a Planner for a major Sizewell project. The role involves assisting in developing the delivery programme, coordinating with senior planners and delivery teams, and updating the programme based on construction performance.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering background, experience in planning large projects for Tier 1 contractors or joint ventures, and be proficient with Primavera P6, MS Project or ASTA.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field is desirable.
• Experience planning large civil engineering projects for tier one or joint ventures.
• Proficient in scheduling tools: Primavera P6, MS Project or ASTA.
• Must be locally based and able to attend Ipswich or Leiston offices daily.
• Understanding of construction methods, plant, equipment and labour requirements.
• CSCS card held.
• Able to obtain BPSS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of the delivery programme and coordinate with senior planners and delivery teams.
• Assist with programme updates and monitor performance during construction.
• Recommend mitigation measures for forecast critical programme slippage.
