In this pivotal role, the manager will be responsible for planning, procuring, and delivering a comprehensive Capital Programme across the housing stock, while also managing the associated capital budget. The position involves overseeing the procurement and management of contractors, as well as the performance management of staff. A key aspect of the role includes working closely with the leasehold specialist to lead the complex S20 consultation process, ensuring risks are effectively managed to minimise any loss of capital income. This is essential to maintaining investment in the Housing Revenue Account and supporting the delivery of services within the Housing Department. The postholder will also lead the programme planning function by ensuring the effective use of data systems, particularly the stock condition system, which supports the development of annual and five-year programmes, as well as 30-year business planning. This data is critical for shaping future maintenance strategies and reducing reliance on responsive repairs.
