Job summary

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Learner Industry Placement Officer to coordinate and manage student placements and serve as the main point of contact for learners throughout the process.

The role involves overseeing workplace observations, maintaining records in Grofar, monitoring attendance and progress, and ensuring learners are fully prepared with pre-placement requirements and inductions. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Holds a relevant qualification.
• Holds English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
• Is an effective communicator.
• Has strong administrative skills and is well organised, able to keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage student placements and match learners to opportunities.
• Act as main point of contact for learners throughout the placement process.
• Ensure a minimum of 3 workplace observations (for T Level learners) are completed and assess placement diaries/workbooks.
• Complete placement documentation accurately and maintain updated records on systems such as Grofar.
• Monitor learner attendance and progress and address issues promptly.
• Prepare learners for placement by supporting pre-placement requirements and inductions.
