Job summary

GEDA Construction Company in Northern Ireland is seeking a Placement Student to support site engineers and managers on residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. You will assist with AutoCAD drawing production, use surveying equipment, and coordinate with site staff and subcontractors to ensure work meets specifications and deadlines.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise to meet deadlines using own initiative.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Previous work experience in a similar role is advantageous.
Full valid driving licence with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel to sites across the East Midlands.

Responsibilities

Support Site Engineers and Managers in project delivery.
Coordinate with site staff, subcontractors and other parties to meet specifications.
Order materials and log deliveries.
Perform IT administrative tasks and weekly checks.
Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
Liaise with Clients, Quantity Surveyors, Contracts Managers and Site teams to ensure quality delivery.
Monitor project progress to meet deadlines.
Follow Information Management Systems and other company procedures.
Undertake other tasks commensurate with the role.
