Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is offering a 12-month placement across design and construction teams, based within our United Utilities framework in the North West. You’ll gain exposure to mechanical systems, design, planning and installation on live projects.

You’ll collaborate with engineers on-site and in the office, developing practical skills, safety awareness, and professional growth, with mentoring and potential for a permanent role after graduation.

About The Role

Our placements last for 12 months, working across both design and construction teams, to offer the broadest exposure to the industry, working on real-world projects that make a difference in communities. It’s a great chance to get involved with live projects while gaining experience relevant to your degree. This role is based within our United Utilities framework, so travel around the North West region is required.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with experienced mechanical engineers both on-site and in the office, gaining practical experience in mechanical systems and project implementation.
• Engage in a variety of water and waste water projects, from design and planning to installation and maintenance, ensuring systems operate efficiently and effectively.
• Enhance your skills in mechanical design, system analysis, and problem-solving, preparing you for a successful career in mechanical engineering.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and promote a safe working environment on all projects.

What You’ll Need

• You must be studying a full-time undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
