Job summary

Darlington College in Darlington is seeking an Engagement Coach - Placements to join the Placement Team. You will assess students for placement readiness, source and secure placements, and build strong employer relationships to support employability outcomes.

The role involves coaching students on site, maintaining accurate progress records, liaising with curriculum teams, and contributing to quality assurance, safeguarding, and policy adherence within the college framework.

Responsibilities

• Assess students in readiness for placement and lead learning sessions to prepare them for external placements.
• Source and secure placements, maintaining strong relationships with employers and liaising with Business Development Advisors to ensure no duplication.
• Input student reviews of placement into the CRM and track progress against planned targets.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to students on placement and assist in resolving issues with employers.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to review student progress and ensure alignment with vocational programmes.
• Promote attendance and conduct, monitor progress, and contribute to safeguarding and health & safety processes.
