Job summary

The Sheffield College is seeking an experienced placements coordinator to ensure learners gain high quality placements and work experience across courses. You will engage with students, employers and college teams to identify barriers and enable successful placements, interviews and tasters.

You will visit workplaces, provide training and assessment for units, and support safeguarding, DBS checks and compliance before placements commence. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with course leader, tutor mentor and employer to keep students engaged with learning and placement, ensuring they are stretched and achieving goals.
• Plan and deliver industry placements, mandatory placements and placement tasters with curriculum teams, students and employers.
• Coordinate employability development opportunities, guest speaking workshops and job-ready activities for all students.
• Provide outstanding customer service to employers via established routes and site visits.
• Deliver Work-related activity including a minimum of 300 hours classroom delivery and induction workshops for placements and employability programmes.
