Job summary

Franco Manca in Liverpool is seeking a Kitchen-driven Pizza Second Chef to join our fast-paced pizzeria. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently top-quality sourdough pizzas, supervise prep, and uphold rigorous hygiene standards.

You will train junior cooks, stay organized during peak hours, and help lead the team through busy shifts, ensuring guest satisfaction with every dish.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen with fast pace and high hygiene standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support the Head Chef.
• Awareness of food prep, hygiene and service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Ensure all pizzas and dishes meet quality standards.
• Lead by example, train and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain high hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Stay calm under pressure and assist when Head Chef is away.
• Hands-on role from dough stretching to pizza creation.
