Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced Pit Bottom worker to join Active Tunnelling on a shaft and tunnelling project in Sedgeletch. The role focuses on working at the bottom of shafts and pits, supporting tunnelling and pipejacking operations, and coordinating material movement within the shaft.

Key requirements include previous pit bottom/shaft experience, pipejacking knowledge, relevant tickets, and a strong emphasis on safety and lifting operations.

Qualifications

• Previous Pit Bottom, shaft or tunnelling experience.
• Pipejacking experience preferred.
• Relevant valid tickets.
• Good understanding of lifting operations.
• Reliable and safety-conscious.

We are looking for an experienced Pit Bottom to join Active Tunnelling on a tunnelling project in Sedgeletch.

Start Date: 16th October
Finish Date: 30th November
Location: Sedgeletch
Work: Shafts, pits and pipejacking

Duties will include:

• Working at the bottom of shafts and pits
• Supporting tunnelling and pipejacking operations
• Receiving and sending materials and equipment within the shaft
• Communicating with the Top Man and lifting team
• Assisting with the safe movement of loads
• Maintaining a safe and organised working area
