Job summary

James Fisher is seeking a Technician - Pipefitter in Inchinnan, Glasgow, to install, maintain and test small-bore piping systems in various industrial settings. You will interpret blueprints, plan layouts and ensure safety and quality compliance.

This permanent role involves collaboration across departments, travel to client sites, and potential overseas assignments in a defence-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Swagelok and Parker certifications would be advantageous.
• Experience with marine, defence standards and Lloyds rules is preferred.
• Experience in subsea, offshore or defence projects is a plus.
• Experience with valves, pumps, regulators and compressors including high pressure systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, maintain and test small-bore piping systems per drawings and procedures.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify integrity and function of piping.
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless project integration.
• Keep up-to-date with industry safety standards, regulations and PPE.
• Provide guidance to junior pipefitters and prepare detailed installation reports.
