Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Pipefitter in Glasgow to join a skilled engineering and shipbuilding team. You will fabricate and install pipework systems, read drawings, and work to exacting safety standards on large-scale projects.

This hands-on role offers shift patterns with days/nights and weekends, onsite testing, and opportunities for progression, with ongoing training and a supportive team focused on quality.

Qualifications

• Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers must be provided upon application.
• Experience in pipe manufacture and installation on large-scale projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and specs.
• Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment with a safety-first approach.
• Previous pipefitter experience in industrial or commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install pipework systems using various materials.
• Use hand tools and equipment to cut, bend, and weld pipes.
• Install onboard utilities including sinks, showers, and toilets.
• Assemble fittings, valves and components per drawings and specs.
• Collaborate with other trades to meet schedule.
• Follow safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all work completed.
