Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is hiring a Manufacturing Services Technician (Pipefitter) to support the Precision Casting Facility with installation and ongoing maintenance of gas, argon supply, steam pipework and boilers.

The role involves fabrication and welding across the site, working with Manufacturing Leaders and Engineers to keep equipment safe, available and performing to high standards. The ideal candidate will have time-served apprenticeship and IT literacy.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Pipefitting.
• Good understanding of pipefitting installations and maintenance operations.
• Basic IT literacy and ability to work to engineering drawings.
• Understanding of local and regional HSE standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain site gas, argon supply, steam pipework and boilers.
• Fabrication and welding across the facility.
• Coordinate workload with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, Design Engineers and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure outputs are safe, available and capable when required.
• Assist site Manufacturing Engineers to restore equipment performance.
