Job summary

Aeropeople Ltd. is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join a leading defence and aerospace company in Glasgow. The role is on-site, full-time, with a varied shift pattern and opportunities for overtime.

You will fabricate and install piping systems using copper, CuNi, carbon steel and stainless steel, reading drawings and ensuring safety and quality across projects. Trade tests are required during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter in industrial/commercial settings.
• Strong knowledge of pipe manufacture, installation and associated equipment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiar with SHE, COSHH and risk assessments.
• Trade papers and relevant certifications must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install piping systems across projects.
• Use hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, weld and install pipework.
• Install utilities aboard ships (sinks, showers, toilets).
• Assemble fittings, valves and components per drawings/specifications.
• Collaborate with other trades to complete projects on time.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate work records.
