Job summary

Aeropeople Ltd is recruiting a skilled Pipefitter for a Glasgow-based role with a leading defence and aerospace company. The position is on site full time with a varied shift pattern; day, night or weekend shifts are available with a 33% shift allowance on night and weekend shifts.

You will fabricate and install pipework across projects, read engineering drawings, operate hand tools and welding equipment, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers and relevant qualifications
• Knowledge of pipe manufacture, installation and equipment
• Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install pipework systems across large and small-bore pipework using various materials
• Use hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes
• Install and assemble fittings, valves and related components per drawings
• Install utilities aboard ship (sinks, showers, toilets)
• Collaborate with other trades to complete projects on time
• Adhere to safety regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out
